The ultimate 2-in-1 walker: It helps you rise from a seated position and enjoy independent mobility!
It looks like a different kind of walker because it is! The basic medical walker design has not changed since the 1960s—it offered support as you moved about, but provided no help in getting you out of your seat and on your feet.
This innovative StandUp Walker serves both functions—a two-in-one design. It helps mobility-challenged seniors get up from a seat, and then offers support just like a regular walker.
If you have mobility issues, you well know how difficult it can be to get up from a chair, bench, bed, toilet seat, sofa—any seated position that requires more strength than aging knees, back and arms can provide. But with a flip of the hooks on either side of the StandUp walker, the unit lowers and locks in place, bringing into reach hand grips to the left and right that bear your weight as you get up. As you rise, the walker rises with you, snapping back to lock in the normal walker position. It provides just the extra support and “boost” needed to get you on your feet—and it’s totally portable and can travel everywhere with you, indoors and out.
This walker can save money by “standing in” for multiple assistive devices in your home: a lift chair, a seat lift mechanism, toilet safety rails or a traditional walker. It weighs only 10½ lbs and folds for easy transport and storage. It comes in two widths—18" and 22"—and supports up to 400 lbs. Arms are adjustable for custom height. It’s the brainstorm of an MIT student and is made in the USA! This is the new standard for what walkers will be in the future! Assembly required.
