This gadget works well for my wife who is aT The early stage of Macular Degeneration (age related). The price is right to evaluate just what a person will need in the long run. Some of the add-ons I would like to see are:
1) transmitter and receiver so that
it could be used wirelessly in a WiFi mode
2) Ability to double the width of
The field of view.
3) many newer TV's and Monitors do not have Video/component/RCA input os but are going to DVI, HDMI, S input Etc.
Adapters or additional cables are needed.
I realize this would increase the cost and would require it to be an additional model.
Bottom line the EZ Reader is a great and usefull buy for less than $100. You can not go wrong to try one.

At nearly 46 years of age, and having been legally blind all of my life, I have been exposed to NUMEROUS visual aids. None of them have ever even come close to working as well for me as EZ READ! For $99, this device performs the exact same function as CCTVs that cost THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS! I have it connected to a 32 inch TV, and even the smallest print in magazines is extremely easy for me to read now.
I absolutely love it, and highly recommend it to anybody who loves reading, which I very much do, but has been limited as to how much, and what they can read due to poor eyesight. it blows away any and all magnifiers, is simple to connect, and a breeze to use. If you can operate a computer mouse, you can easily use EZ READ!
Simply put, EZ READ has made my life suddenly more enjoyable, and I look forward to many years of beneficial use from it. Thank you First Street!
