Some 50% of the 1.8 billion prescriptions dispensed annually are not taken correctly. 125,000 people die each year from medication non-adherence. Frightening statistics, but those of us who take a lot of pills each day well know how easy it is to get things mixed up. Did I forget that pill? Have I already taken that pill? What is this pill?

These are very important questions, especially for those who live alone and want to maintain their independence. Med Minder is a medication system with off-site monitoring that makes it easy for you to remember to take your meds properly, to help keep you healthy and in your own home longer.

This is a technologically based reminder system that automatically dispenses medication and vitamins in accordance with prescribed treatment programs. When it’s time for medication, the tray will automatically turn to the next dose, and an alarm will sound. The dose will be located under the small door on the cover and can be retrieved by sliding the door back. When the medicine is not taken within 30 minutes of the prescribed time, our Care Center will be notified and will call to remind you to take the medicine. If there is no response from you, a caregiver or medical contact is called for follow-up. There is also an alert when it’s time for a prescription refill.
