I bought the Atomic Talking Watch for my father, who is 95 years old and can barely see. The "talking" feature was the main reason I got it for him, since he can no longer "see" a regular watch. I was attracted to the "atomic" feature because all my father has to do is to place it in a window to update, if necessary.
He uses the watch all the time (and shows it off to all of his friends - more than once...) and has come heavily to rely upon it. So much so, that I bought him a "backup" talking watch just in case it would happen to fail. However, it has been running strong for the past 2 years.

After getting his Atomic Talking Watch last year, my Dad, who's almost 86, packed away the lovely expensive watch that my late mother gave him.
(I think he ordered it himself after seeing a TV ad.)
Although his eyesight's pretty good, he really appreciates having the correct date and time read out to him. Fortunately the watch is able to get its time signal where he is in Canada, so he knows it's correct.

Don't confuse firstSTREET's "Atomic" watch with the cheaper, simuliar LOOKING, but NOT TALKING; watch my credit card company had for purchase on it's payments envelope. Simuliar; but not the same.
I'm maybe a "two-star" old guy when it comes to figuring out cell phones, computers, and modern electronic things. I've never been able to get the dial face hands into my Eastern Time Zone, so the watch-face can show the correct time. The talking push-buttons do tell the correct time and date.
The big shopping mall watch-kiosk guy after half an hour's fiddling, could not change one time-zone. The Wal Mart watch gal changed two time-zones; but never could get it to Eastern. The watch-face time is still wrong.
Had firstSTREET used my zip code to set my time-zone it was shipped to: Five Stars.

This is the second atomaic watch I have owned and is the better of the two and well worth the money. It connects with the govertnment source without problem. I like the analog face better than the previous digital one.

Very good quality watch, as you'd expect for this type of price range. All around a pretty good value compared to some of the other brand names out there.

I got this one as a Christmas Gift and it's great, no complaints from dad about this one. It's really good because he can't see very well so he doesn't have to put on reading glasses just to see his watch anymore.

So this watch is pretty awesome, it talks! It also uses "atomic time" which is really accurate. The only thing I wish was better about it was if it could be turned up even louder!
